Located across from the Aurelian wall in Rome, Italy The veil is an affordable co-housing development, which serves as a home to a self sustaining community of Immigrant Artists. At the veil the families and individual artists live as one community sharing and operating amenities, while also running a community Garden together on the roof, the fruits of which will serve the community and be sold at a day market on site. The artists living at the veil will be able to further develop their skills in the spaces provided as well as market their work while giving back to the community by teaching the young about their craft. Conceptually speaking the “veil” is a film which envelopes the daily developments of life with in this community.
